Leamington Man Dies Following Crash

A 53-year-old Leamington man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Kingsville.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Thursday around 6:10pm, a passing motorist saw a black Dodge pickup truck in the ditch on Essex County Rd. 31 between Road 3 E and Hwy. 3.

The 53-year-old driver and only occupant of the vehicle was found unconscious. He was taken to hospital by EMS in critical condition, and was pronounced dead a short time later.

The name of the Leamington man is not being released until next of kin has been notified.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
