Windsor Sally Ann Kettle Campaign Successful

The annual Christmas fundraiser for the local Salvation Army has exceeded its goals.

The annual kettle campaign for the Windsor Salvation Army surpassed its projections this holiday season, raising $304,000.  The projected goal for the 2016 campaign was $270,000.

As a result of the holiday fundraising, the Salvation Army was able to provide 462 local families with food, and over 1,200 children with toys.

The kettle campaign ended Saturday afternoon, Christmas Eve.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
