Pedestrian Hit On Tecumseh Rd. E In Windsor

Police in Windsor are investigating after an collision shut down the eastbound lanes of Tecumseh Rd. E for eight and a half hours Tuesday.

A pickup truck struck a pedestrian in the 7200-block, near WalMart and Zehrs around 3pm.

The victim suffered arm injuries. So far, there's no word on the person's condition and police have not said if they intend to lay charges against the driver of the truck.

Westbound traffic was not affected, but police officers diverted eastbound traffic while a crash reconstruction team investigated.

The road finally reopened around 11:30pm Tuesday.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
