School Principal Mourned

A popular local educator is mourned after his sudden passing over the Christmas holiday.

Paul Bisson, of Belle River, died on Saturday, Christmas Eve.  He was 53.

Bisson had been principal at Tecumseh Vista Academy since its inception in 2012.  He had been an educator in Essex County for many years previously.  Before beginning at Vista, Bisson had been a principal at Puce Public School and W.G. Davis School.  He had also taught at Kingsville Public School.

Bisson is survived by his wife Karen, three children, his parents, parents-in-law, two siblings and numerous extended family members.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday at 10:15am from Melady Funeral Home in Belle River, than to St. Simon and St. Jude Church for an 11am funeral Mass.  Burial will be at St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery in Belle River.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
