OPP Investigating Theft at Cottam Business

Ontario Provincial Police are looking for whoever is responsible for a theft at a Cottom business.

Officers from the OPP in Kingsville responded Friday to a call of a burglary at the Cottom Cold Storage and Meat Market on County Rd 34 East.  The incident occurred during the night before, police say.

A quantity of meat products were taken, though police did not say how much was stolen or the value of the goods in question.

The Essex County OPP Crime Unit and Forensic Identification and Photographic Services Section are investigating this incident.  Anyone with information is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.  Those wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and be eligible for a cash reward.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
