It's A Girl!

The Windsor Regional Hospital says the first baby born in 2017 for Windsor-Essex is a girl.

The New Year's Day baby was born at 4:23am Sunday morning, at the Met Campus.

The 8lb 1oz baby girl apparently couldn't wait to be born as she was not due until January 9.

Her parents Junxuan Zhao and Dacheng Wei have yet to decide on a name.

Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications Ron Foster says this baby is the 50th first born baby in Canada.
