New Year's Day Closures

New Year's Day is another statutory holiday.

The Beer Store and the LCBO won't reopen again until Monday.

Since New Year's falls on a Sunday this year, there is no mail delivery Monday, no garbage or recycling pickup and no parking enforcement in the City of Windsor or the County of Essex. Residential collection is delayed one day in the city.

Public Drop-off and Household Chemical Waste Depots in Windsor are closed Sunday and Monday.

The 311 Call Centre is closed for New Year's Day, but the 211 Call Centre will remain open.

Community centres and municipal arenas are closed Sunday.

Libraries close for the holiday and reopen again Tuesday.

City buses will run on a Sunday schedule New Year's Day.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
