Smoke Alarm Alerts Residents In House Fire

Leamington fire officials credit a working smoke alarm for waking up three residents in a home that caught fire early Thursday morning.

At around 1:55am, firefighters arrived at the house in the 400-block of Road 3.

The three were asleep when the alarm went off. They put out the fire, which had caused minor damage.

Fire officials say the cause of the blaze was electrical.
