Two Arrested On Outstanding Warrants

Two people wanted in relation to a 12-week drug investigation by Windsor police were arrested by OPP officers near Napanee, Ontario on Wednesday.

With the assistance of the Quinte West OPP, the pair was arrested after a vehicle pursuit near Hwy. 401 in Marysville.

The 31-year-old man and 38-year-old woman, who are both from Windsor, were wanted in connection to the undercover drug investigation police began in September of 2016. They are among 15 other people charged in relation to the investigation.

Undercover officers in Windsor were able to purchase various amounts of methamphetamine and fentanyl during the investigation that lasted just over three months.

All parties wanted in relation to the original investigation have now been arrested and formally charged.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
