Update: Victim In House Fire Now In Serious Condition

Windsor Fire officials say a woman rescued from a house fire on Caron Ave. Saturday night has been upgraded to serious condition in hospital.

Chief Fire Prevention Officer John Lee says on Saturday night around 6pm, Fire and Rescue Services were called to 496 Caron Ave. The fire had spread through the lower unit of the duplex.

Two other people have been displaced as a result of the fire.

Investigators from the Ontario Fire Marshal's office will be back at the scene Monday.

So far, no damage estimate has been released.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
