Driver Wanted In Pedestrian Hit-And-Run

Essex County OPP are looking for a woman after a teenage girl was struck by a car on St. Peter St. near 11th St. in Belle River.

The incident happened January 12, around 9pm.

Police officials say the girl had gotten out of a friend's vehicle and was attempting to cross the street when she was struck, suffering minor injuries.

The driver of the vehicle did get out to check if she had in fact hit the victim, but then quickly drove away from the scene.

The OPP are looking for a woman between 35 and 40 years old with platinum blonde hair, who spoke with a high-pitched voice. She was driving a silver Chrysler 200 or similar model car at the time.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
