Girl Bit By Dog, OPP Search For Owner

The Ontario Provincial Police in Kingsville is looking for the owner of a dog that bit a 13-year-old girl.

On Saturday, January 21 at around 2:10pm, the girl was walking with a friend at the corner of Francis and Clark St. in Cottam, when they passed a man and a young girl walking three dogs.

One of the dogs, described as a light brown dachshund, broke away from its owner and bit the girl twice on the back of her leg. When she got home, she realized she was bleeding and received medical treatment at a local clinic.

The man who was walking the dogs is in his 30s, and the young girl was about 10 or 11 years old.

Anyone with information can call the OPP Kingsville Detachment at 519-733-2345.
