Spitfires Shutout Spirit 4-0

The Windsor Spitfires topped the Saginaw Spirit 4-0 in OHL action on Thursday.

Cristiano DiGiacinto kicked off the game with a goal for Windsor 7:23 into the first period, followed by Tyler Angle who scored to make it 2-0 going into the second.

Adam Laishram had a goal for the Spitfires late in the second frame and Sean Day scored 13:37 into the third to complete Windsor's shutout win.

Windsor also outshot Saginaw 26-22.

The Spitfires head to Kitchener on Friday to battle the Rangers at 7:30pm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
