Large Quantity Of Drugs Seized

Two people are facing drug and gun charges after police seized a large amount of marijuana and a loaded firearm.

The Windsor Police Drug and Guns Unit executed multiple search warrants in relation to an active drug trafficking investigation on Tuesday.

Police attempted to stop a man in a vehicle in the 1000-block of Pelissier St., but he fled at a high rate of speed. He was then seen on foot near Dougall Ave. and Erie St. W carrying a handgun. Police eventually caught up with a suspect and placed him under arrest.

Another man associated with the investigation was located on Silverdale Dr. and was placed under arrest.

Search warrants were executed at a residence on Patrick Ave. and a number of storage lockers at two separate businesses. Police seized a handgun, 27 lbs of marijuana, methamphetamine, cocaine and currency in excess of $50,000.

A 23-year-old man and a 21-year-old man have been arrested and are facing charges in relation to the investigation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
