UPDATE: Hwy. 3 Reopened In Essex After Crash

A Windsor man is facing charges after a four-vehicle crash forced police to close Hwy. 3 in Essex.

The Ontario Provincial Police reported the collision on Hwy. 3 at County Rd. 23, on Tuesday around 10pm.

Two drivers involved in the collision were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Hwy. 3 was closed between County Rd. 23 and Cameron Side Rd. while police were at the scene. The road was reopened at around 11:30pm.

A 40-year-old man from Windsor is facing charges of careless driving and driving while under suspension.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
