Suspended Kingsville Fire Chief Choosing Retirement

Robert Kissner is retiring from his post as Kingsville's fire chief.

The 60-year-old is facing 15 sexual assault-related charges.

He was suspended by the town, with pay, when the first charges became public back in December.  Kingsville also launched an internal investigation at that point, saying it wanted to give the town’s staff and the community confidence that all bases were being covered.

Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Dean has taken Kissner's place in the interim.
