UPDATE: Fire Crews Respond To Industrial Fire

An industrial fire has caused around $75,000 in damages at the Nemak Windsor Aluminum Plant.

The Windsor Fire and Rescue Service says on Friday around 7:20pm, fire crews were called to the plant at 4600 G N Booth Dr.  Firefighters were able to get the fire under control quickly, but had to deal with heavy smoke conditions and hot spots on the roof of the plant.

The fire was reported out just before 10pm and it is believed to have started in the duct collector systems, according to fire officials.

No one was injured in the blaze.
