Intelligent Transit Windsor Buses Are Being Tested

Transit Windsor has begun testing its new Intelligent Transportation System to improve service.

It’s the first of several changes to create a more efficient, safer and more user-friendly system.

Ten buses are equipped with the new system providing voice and visual 'automated stop' announcements.

Announcements are coordinated with display signs inside the bus.

Pre-boarding external audible announcements are also provided to passengers waiting at the bus stop.

More buses will be added over the next several weeks as the technology is tested and rolled out.
