iClimb Windsor-Essex Continues To Grow

The United Way of Windsor and Essex County thinks its eighth annual iClimb might be its best ever.

More than 2,000 students and hundreds from workplaces across the region are at the WFCU Centre Wednesday, to promote mental wellness through physical activity.

"It's more than just doing the 1,000 step climb, we've got students involved in doing laughter yoga, escape room puzzles, pickleball, zumba and boxing," says Acting Vice President of Marketing and Communications Karen Brady.

The United Way raised $40,000 through this event in 2016.

Brady believes the event has grown thanks to the iClimb social media campaign, and because people are becoming more comfortable talking about mental health issues with each passing year.
