Citizen Finds Crystal Meth On Road

Windsor police are looking for information after a citizen found a pencil case with crystal meth inside.

On February 17, the citizen saw the black pencil case on Howard Ave. near Edinborough and looked inside to see if they could identify an owner.  They found 5 ounces of crystal methamphetamine, worth approximately $18,000, inside along with other drug paraphernalia.

The property was turned over to police.

"It's definitely a concern. Anybody from the community could have picked it up -- it could have been a young person that picked it up who wouldn't have known what was in it or what the effects could have been on them. It's definitely a public safety concern so we're luck that this citizen observed this and turned it over to us," says Constable Andy Drouillard.

Anyone with information is asked to call Windsor police at 519-255-6700 ext. 4361, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477.
