Results Prove iClimb To Be United Way's Best Yet

The United Way of Windsor and Essex County is thrilled with the results of this year's iClimb at the WFCU Centre.

The eighth annual event raised more than $52,000. That's its highest total ever for the iClimb, 19% more than in 2016.

"It is so wonderful to see the community come together to support iClimb year after year in such a big way, that in turn allows United Way to continue to support these vital services in Windsor and Essex County," says CEO Lorraine Goddard.

Nearly 2,000 students climbed the arena steps to promote mental wellness through physical activity.

The United Way believes online engagement was key to the event's success, as the hashtag #WhyIClimb and original Snapchat filter elicited personal and inspirational stories from the climbers.
