Arrest Made After Shots Fired

Police have one person in custody following a shooting at a Windsor apartment building.

The Windsor Police Service says officers were called to the building on Riverside Dr. E, east of Dieppe St. on Monday just before 6pm.

No one was injured during the shooting and officers have arrested a male suspect.

Officers are not releasing any other details at this time as the investigation is in its early stages. However, police say they are not looking for any other suspects, and there is currently no risk to public safety.

This shooting comes just one week after the shooting death of a 19-year-old man who died in hospital. David Formosa, 45, was arrested on February 21 and is now charged with first degree murder in connection with the 19-year-old's death.  Formosa was arrested at an apartment the same block of Riverside Dr. E as Monday's shooting incident, however, police say the two shootings are not connected.
