Man Charged After Argument Leads To Shooting

A Windsor man is facing multiple attempted murder charges after shots were fired outside an apartment building in east Windsor.

The Windsor Police Service says officers responded to the building at 8717 Riverside Dr. E on Monday around 5:30pm, after a man fired a handgun multiple times at a parked vehicle. Police say the man had been arguing with one of the vehicle's occupants who was known to him.

No one was injured during the shooting.

Lamar Struthers, 46, was arrested inside the apartment building without incident once police arrived at the scene. He is charged with three counts of attempted murder, four counts of pointing a firearm, two counts of assault and possession of a dangerous weapon.

Police have also executed a search warrant and seized a firearm, as well as ammunition.

The shooting is not believed to have been a random act and and police are not looking for any other suspects.

The Major Crimes Unit is still investigating the incident.
