Strike Ended At Jamieson Labs

Employees at Jamieson Laboratories in Windsor are going back to work Tuesday night, after ratifying a new three-year contract.

Unifor Local 195 President Gerry Farnham says they were able to secure a 50 cent raise in each year of the deal, along with a $1,000 signing bonus.

The 240 union members voted 79% in favour of the agreement.

They rejected an offer last Sunday and hit the picket lines.

Farnham says Jamieson is also working to secure extra work for June, which would then extend this contract to four years.
