Potential Murder Weapon Found

The Windsor Police Service has found a weapon which may have been used in last week's homicide on University Ave.

Investigators found a gun while executing a search warrant related to the crime, and are still working to find out if it is the murder weapon.

No other details are being given at this time.

A 19-year-old man attended a Windsor hospital suffering from a gunshot wound on February 21. It is believed that he was shot at a house on University Ave. near Louis Ave.  The victim succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

David Formosa, 45, has been charged with first degree murder in connection to Windsor's first homicide of 2017.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
