Windsor Yard Parking Grace Period Over

Vehicles parked on front yards, side yards or city boulevards in Windsor can now be ticketed.

Parking enforcement officers combed the city from one end to the other and back, issuing 242 warning letters over the last couple of weeks.

City council passed a "No Front Yard Parking" bylaw in December of last year. It defines a yard as extending across the width of a lot between the front lot line and the nearest wall of a main building.

Tickets given for the offense will cost the owner of the vehicle $25.
