UPDATE: Power Mostly Restored Across Essex County

A spokeswoman at Hydro One says it could be 11pm Thursday before power is fully restored to everyone in Essex County.

As of 9:45pm, there were less than 80 customers still without power after Wednesday's powerful wind storm.  During the day on Thursday, hydro crews were working at six different sites across the county, and 288 across Ontario.

Tizianna Baccega-Rose with Hydro One explains crews are working "diligently across the province" to restore power after 70,000 customers were left in the dark Wednesday.  She says there was a lot of damage to power lines province-wide.

At the peak of the storm, Enwin Utilities in Windsor said 6,000 customers were without power in the city.  The utility does not report any current outages.
