Federal Repeat Offender On The Loose, Could Be In Windsor Area

Authorities are looking for a federal offender who is unlawfully at large on a three year federal sentence.

Gurfathe Kooner, 31, is wanted by the OPP including the Essex detachment for several firearms offences and by the Windsor Police Service for three counts of fraud over $5,000, uttering death threats, surety removal and failing to attend court.

The Ontario Provincial Police say Kooner has been unlawfully at large since April of 2016.

OPP say Kooner is described as a male, 6'3" tall, 241 lbs with brown eyes, shaved head, and a dark goatee that may have been shaven clean. He has several tattoos which include a tiger on his right forearm, tribal symbols on both forearms, barbed wire on right wrist and a tattoo of "Punjabi" on the right side of his neck.

The OPP says the offender is known to frequent the Windsor area and the Greater Toronto Area.
