New Director Of Culture And Recreation In LaSalle

The Town of LaSalle has a new director of culture and recreation, Julie Columbus.

Columbus has over 15 years of experience in the parks and recreation industry. Most recently, she was the director of recreation and community services for the Town of Penetanguishene. She keeps up to date on current trends through professional memberships and associations.

"After our interview process, that included senior management personnel and some members of council, we are happy to welcome Ms Columbus to our management team," says Mayor Ken Antaya. "Ms Columbus impressed the interview team with her ideas and enthusiasm."

Columbus starts April 18.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
