No Alcohol At Adventure Bay

A contract for concessions at the Windsor International Aquatic Centre does not include alcohol sales.

Last year, council directed administration to explore the opportunities surrounding the sale of alcohol at the facility while issuing an RFP for the concessions.

"It came back, the recommendation from administration was not to proceed with the sale of alcohol at Adventure Bay for a number of operational reasons, it just didn't make sense," says Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens.

The successful proponent of the concessions bid is CGC Concessions Group Canada Inc. They will be offering all concessions at the facility, and will be required to offer "healthier options" as part of the contract.

The contract will mean $139,313.37 in revenue for the City of Windsor over three years.
