Sandwich St. Fire Cause Undetermined

It took Windsor Fire Service 12 hours to extinguish a fire on Sandwich St. W due to heavy winds on Tuesday.

The fire broke out around 1:15pm and fire officials say they had the fire out at 1:30am on Wednesday.

The cause of the fire is undetermined due to extensive damage. The damage is estimated at $100,000.

Residents were asked to close their windows and shelter in place due to smoke while the fire was being extinguished.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
