Grenade Found, Poses No Threat

A dormant grenade has been uncovered on Pierre Ave. at University Ave. in Windsor.

Police say a resident stumbled upon the rusted out weapon just after 3pm Wednesday.

It poses no risk to the community, and no foul play is suspected.

The Windsor Police Service is reminding the public that if you spot any kind of suspected weapon or explosive device, not to touch the item, and to call 911 immediately.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
