Child Luring Among Charges Against LaSalle Man

A 20-year-old from LaSalle is facing 31 criminal offences, stemming from inappropriate online conversations and meetings with teen girls.

The Amherstburg Police Service says the bulk of those charges are due to him breaching bail conditions from previous court orders.

Michael William Mackenzie Martin also faces counts of making sexually explicit material available to children, child luring and invitation to sexual touching.

Investigators say the accused held various online conversations over the last five months, using a particular profile name, but they believe he could have other aliases.

Anyone under the age of 18 who has been in contact with Martin via social media, in person or otherwise, is asked to contact the Amherstburg Police Service.
