The Veterans Affairs Office in Windsor is now officially reopen and ready serve clients.
The office on the sixth floor of 1 Riverside Dr. W will employ 15 employees and will serve 2,700 veterans in the area.
Sherry Romanado, the parliamentary secretary to the minister of veterans affairs and associate minister of national defence, says they continue to work with veterans to make services more accessible.
"We are constantly in touch with veterans but we want to be further in touch with them. We want to get feedback, what's working, what's not working, whether it be the location, the services and the benefits and I think we've demonstrated a willingness to listen," says Romanado.

Some veterans voiced concerns over parking at the new office but said over all they are glad they no longer have to travel to London to get face to face service from the government.
"We don't have to travel so far and we're going to be able to save some distance and some money, it's going to be great all around to see we don't have to go so far to travel to London," says Sergeant Bob Kelly.
The 80-year-old veteran says he made several trips down Hwy. 401 over the last three years to access services himself or to bring other veterans.
Windsor's office is the eighth of nine Veterans Affairs offices reopened since the previous government closed offices almost three years ago.
