LaSalle Police Seek Theft Suspect

Police in LaSalle are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect.

Investigators would like to speak to the man shown in a photo they released and placed on the service's Facebook page.  The investigation is connected to the April 2 theft of a person's wallet from a parked car.

Police say after the wallet was stolen suspects went on a shopping spree to area gas stations, and about $1000 were charged to credit cards that did not belong to the suspects.

Residents are also being reminded to be sure that their vehicles are locked when unattended, even for a few minutes, and that any valuables should be placed where they are not easily seen.

Anyone with information on this case, or knows who the suspect is, should call LaSalle Police Constable Racine at (519) 969-5210 or Windsor-Essex Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
