OPP Identify Man Killed In Crash With Wild Turkey

The Ontario Provincial Police say a 54-year-old Kingsville man, badly hurt after he hit a turkey on Hwy. 3, has died of his injuries.

On April 18, Kevin Gagnier was riding his BMW motorcycle in the eastbound lanes between Sexton Side Rd. and Walker Rd. when a wild turkey ran out in front of him. After hitting the turkey, he collided with a tractor trailer in the westbound lanes.

The crash shut down the highway for several hours while police investigated. They say their investigation is now complete.

Charges will not be laid.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
