Express Derail The Storm 111-101

The Windsor Express weathered the Island Storm to win 111-101 at the WFCU Centre on Wednesday.

After the first quarter, the Express trailed the Storm 22-21, and remained behind 47-44 at halftime.

Windsor battled back in the third to tie things up at 74 points a piece at the end of the frame. The Express jumped ahead in the final quarter to take a 100-88 lead with 4:34 left in the game, and then held on to win with a ten point advantage.

Juan Pattillo led Windsor with 31 points and 13 rebounds, while Logan Stutz put up 22 points and eight rebounds.

The Express are at home on Friday to take on the Halifax Hurricanes at 7pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
