Memorial Cup On Tour

If you've always wanted to see the Memorial Cup in person, you will get your chance when the tournament comes to Windsor next month.

Starting on May 19, the Memorial Cup trophy will travel to all ten City of Windsor wards in ten days. It will also make some stops in Essex County during the tour.

Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens says it will be on display at local libraries, community centres, and parks.

"We really wanted to bring the Mastercard Memorial Cup out into the community and let people across the city, in all ten wards a chance to learn about its history, have a chance to take a picture with the Memorial Cup, a chance to enter contests and really be a part of the whole experience," says Dilkens.

At each location fans will get the chance to take photos with the trophy and enter giveaways. The display will also focus on the history of the Cup and why the tournament started.
