Windsor TFC Kicks Off New Season

Windsor TFC kicks off its season Friday night against North Mississauga.

The League 1 Ontario team has a new head coach this year Zibby Piatkiewicz.

"It's a really, really young team. So we're trying to build a program that will include some young players, we've got some older players which is a good thing. We're just going to try to build it," says Piatkiewicz.

Team president Vancho Cirovski says the team is made up of the best soccer players in Windsor-Essex and hopes more people come out to check out the team this year. He says they can expect exciting competitions.

"Great soccer, lots of energy, lots of hard work as it's one of our strong values and hopefully lots of wins," says Cirovski.

The game starts at 8:15pm at the University of Windsor Alumni Field. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
