Express Outlast Hurricanes 102-96

The Windsor Express scored a 102-96 victory over the Halifax Hurricanes at the WFCU Centre on Friday.

he Express fell behind the Hurricanes 26-23 in the first quarter, and after back-and-forth second frame, Windsor still trailed Halifax by four points at halftime.

Windsor tied things up at 61-61 with 5:52 left in the third, and the two teams remained tied at 74 points a piece going into the final frame. The Express surged ahead at the end of the fourth to take a seven point lead with just over a minute left to play. Windsor held onto the lead to win with a six point advantage.

Juan Pattillo led Windsor with 18 points and eight rebounds, while Logan Stutz put up 16 point and 11 rebounds.

The Express will take on the Kitchener Waterloo Titans in their final regular season game on Saturday. Tip off is at 7pm in Kitchener.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
