Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle, Seriously Injured

Police are looking for witnesses after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and seriously injured in Windsor.

The Windsor Police Service says on Thursday around 11pm, a female pedestrian was walking on Ouellette Ave. near Elliot St. E when she was struck by a black 2002 Ford Explorer.

The pedestrian, whose age has not been released, was rushed to hospital with life threatening injuries.

Police say the driver and the vehicle involved with the incident have been located. However, investigators are not releasing any further information.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
