Investigation Continues Into Murder Of Windsor Man

An investigation is ongoing into the murder of a 43-year-old Windsor man who was found lying injured on a sidewalk over the weekend.

The Windsor Police Service says on Saturday around 3:55am, a passing motorist saw the injured man on Tecumseh Rd. E and stopped to help.  Police and EMS were called to the scene, and the victim was rushed to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police have ruled the death as a homicide, but have not released a cause of death or the identity of the victim.

A post-mortem examination was conducted on Monday.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
