Possible Cougar Sighting In LaSalle

Police are warning residents that there could be a cougar on the loose in Lasalle near Windsor.

The LaSalle Police Service says on Wednesday around 8am, two residents saw what they believe to be a cougar walking in the bush behind houses on Todd Lane, just west of the Herb Gray Pkwy. near Bishop St.

Police say the creature is tan, about 3 ft in height and 5 ft in length.

Officers went to the area and discovered large tracks consistent with a large cat.

Police are warning local residents not to approach the animal if located or sighted. Residents are also asked to be alert when out enjoying the local trails.
