Quest To Reopen Windsor's Canadian Club Centre Continues

There's a critical vote at Queen's Park Thursday afternoon to help re-open the Canadian Club Heritage Brand Centre in Windsor.

Windsor-Tecumseh MPP Percy Hatfield is optimistic his Private Member’s Bill will pass second reading.

The NDP bill would allow the owners of the Canadian Club brand to sell their whisky at the centre.

Not being able to do that was one of the reasons given by the foreign owners, Beam Suntory, for closing the historic building at the end of March.

The City of Windsor has already made meaningful proposals to support a future for the centre.
