l'Essor Lockdown Lifted

Essex County OPP say no charges have been laid after an incident that led to a lockdown at l'Essor Secondary School in Tecumseh.

The school was placed on lockdown at 11:40am Tuesday. Police arrived after receiving reports of an altercation and a potential intruder, armed with a knife, on school grounds.

Officers surrounded the building before making their way inside and have since spoken with everyone involved in the reported fight.

No weapon has been found.

The investigation is ongoing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
