Two Charged In Bear Spray, Road Rage Incident

Two Windsor men face charges after police in Amherstburg got a call about a road rage incident where the driver of a car was sprayed with what appears to have been bear spray.

The incident on Thursday, May 11 involved two motorcyclists and the driver of a third vehicle on Front Rd. N. The police were told the motorcyclists pulled up alongside the vehicle and sprayed the driver.

The driver was able to give officers a description of the suspects and police found the motorcycles in a nearby parking lot on Sandwich St. S.  A quick check showed the motorcycles were stolen, and a can of bear spray was visible on one of the bikes.

Police searched the area and found the drivers who were arrested.

Officers also found a sawed-off barrel.

A 30-year-old Windsor man is charged with possession of property obtained by crime, failing to comply with probation orders and possession of a firearm contrary to probation orders.

The second man, who is 34, is charged with possession of property obtained by crime and assault with a weapon.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
