UPDATE: Tecumseh Firefighters Battle Blaze

The Tecumseh Fire Department has extinguished a blaze at a commercial building.

Fire officials say firefighters responded to the blaze on Friday around 2pm on County Rd. 42 near Manning Rd. When the first fire engines arrived there was heavy smoke showing, but crews were able to get the fire under control.

The blaze was reported out around 3:30pm and a fire investigator will be attending the scene.

The cause of the fire and a damage estimate are unknown at this time.

County Rd. 42 between Manning Rd. and the 12th Concession has been closed while fire crews are at the scene.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
