Four Facing Arson Charges

Multiple Lakeshore residents are facing arson charges after a fire at an abandoned farmhouse in Lakeshore overnight Monday.

The house was full engulfed in flames by the time a resident witnessed the fire and called 911. The resident also observed a vehicle fleeing the scene.

Shortly after the structure fire OPP and EMS were called to the scene of a single car accident near the intersection of Myers Rd. and South Middle Rd. OPP determined the occupants in the vehicle were suspects and they were arrested for setting the fire.

Two females, both 19, and two males, both 20, are facing arson charges.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call the OPP Essex County Major Crime Unit or Crime Stoppers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
