Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash at that intersection around 6:30am on May 27.
The Amherstburg Police Service says drivers of both vehicles had to be extracted and were taken to hospital with life threatening injuries. One of the drivers has since died.
No charges are expected to be laid in the incident.
Police have yet to say what might have caused the collision.
