Water Rentals On Leamington's Waterfront

Pelee Wings is working with the Municipality of Leamington to offer paddle boats and kayaks at Seacliff Park Beach as part of a pilot project.

The company will offer the non-motorized water vehicles on weekends until mid-September. Rentals will cost $20 for the first hour and $10/hr for each additional hour.

"Summer is half gone, but we're going to give this a go," says owner Mike Malone. "We're going to see how it works on the Leamington waterfront and how the municipality enjoys and appreciates these sports."

If the pilot project is successful Malone says he will work with council to provide ongoing service.

'We'll talk to the town. They are going to tell me how they want to proceed, and we'll work out some more logistics and some more details for a full on program," says Malone.

The rentals will be available on the weekends at the waters edge near the volleyball courts.
